PACER

CRIV blog explains some PACER junk. Love how "upgrades" result in less functionality, fewer resources, more cost.

NTIS under attack

So they gave a cutesy, smart alecky name to a bill trying to kill NTIS.  Thought they were being smart but totally missed the point.  I was never a fan of the idea of paying for government research reports that you already paid for through taxes, but Congress would never give them money to survive otherwise. And I surely filed enough NTIS microfiche back in the day to make me hate them, but sometimes this was the best way to get your hands on important research studies.
